The Motorola DP1400 is the hybrid version of the Motorola CP040 – one of our most popular radios. If you rent the DP1400 with us, you get the hybrid version so you can use it either as a top-of-the-line digital radio or a conventional analogue radio.

Digital Mobile Radio (DMR) has numerous advantages over analogue. These include significantly better voice quality, greater range, and better battery management (prolonging the useful lifespan of your batteries).

Using the analogue setting of the CP040 is advisable if you are already using other analogue radios such as the CP040 or radios from the Motorola GP Series (GP344, GP340, etc.), and want to use the DP1400 with them. If that is the case, please let us know in your request.
